[edit] Charges

For UNMC associated individuals, there are no charges for any of our accounts or services. For other academic institutions, there are some minimal charges and we usually only accept outside individuals in special cases.

[edit] Regular Short-Courses offered

We offer 2-hour short courses on demand.

  • Unix - an introduction for molecular biologists to file and directory management and printing.
  • SeqLab (GCG's graphical interface) - an introduction to the user interface. Specific programs are only covered as examples. Web-based material for this is currently limited to that included in the GCG User Manual.

[edit] Ad-hoc tutorials

We offer individual tutorials on solution of specific sequence analysis problems. These tutorials are offered to those who have completed the Unix and Seqlab short-courses. Scheduling of these classes is through the GSAF office at 9-9527.

[edit] Other Services

Time permitting, GSAF personnel can also perform sequence analysis for you. For UNMC users, this is free. For individuals not associated with UNMC, there is a fee assessed.
